Plenty of Mercer County stars shined brightly on the biggest stage in the Garden State!
Mercer County sent over 80 individuals and relay teams who qualified from sectionals — plus everyone from the local non-public schools — to take on the rest of the state, and they represented the county well!
In the week between sectionals and groups, WWP North’s Allison Lee and the Notre Dame boys SHR team run some of the fastest times in Mercer County history, plus many other great results and PRs.

In the Times of Trenton’s postseason girls XC awards, Princeton was the team of the year and Karen Walker (Hopewell Valley) was the coach of the year. Walker attributed her girls’ success this season to the supportive, fun team culture and to an emphasis on recovery, mental preparation, and positive self talk.
The Times’ all-area team included Zui Chinchalkar (WW-P North), Eowyn Deess (Princeton), Claire Dumont (Hopewell Valley), Liliah Gordon (Northern Burlington), Grace Hegedus (Princeton), Kajol Karra (Princeton), and Allison Lee (WW-P North).
